Meet the team at Castle Vets
At Castle Vets we have a highly qualified team of five full-time veterinary surgeons. They are supported by an experienced team of veterinary nurses and receptionists, as well as qualified pet behaviour consultants.
Our vets...
Sarah Morgan MRCVS CertVR
Sarah qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 1988. She now has
over 14 years of experience working as a mixed animal vet, with a particular emphasis on companion
animals.
Sarah has always had a strong desire to develop a wide range of veterinary skills and
experience, which has included working for a veterinary charity in Mozambique and Greece, and teaching
‘paravets’ at the Berkshire College of Agriculture.
In 2000 Sarah succeeded in becoming one of only a
few vets in the UK to obtain a postgraduate qualification in veterinary radiology. Not content with
stopping there, Sarah is now working towards her next postgraduate qualification which will further
develop her small animal surgery skills. Sarah is pleased to bring these advanced skills to all her
work at Castle Vets.
Sarah has strong connections with Suffolk. She was born in Ipswich hospital, and her first job as a
qualified veterinary surgeon was at our Framlingham practice. Sarah now lives near Debenham with her partner
Jerry and her three children, Sophie, Isabella and Lily. She is a keen horseperson and, when time permits, can often be
found at local shows with her two horses, Harry (pictured here) and Dominus. |
Mona Grindberg
Mona qualified from Glasgow University in 1998 and has been working at Castle
Vets for over six years. Mona has a particular interest in both soft tissue surgery and animal
dentistry. She will shortly be starting a postgraduate course in advanced soft tissue surgery in order to become
a specialist in this area.
Mona lives in Framlingham with her husband Baard. She has many interests including Scottish dancing,
cross country skiing and clay pigeon shooting. She can also often be found at various dog shows across
the East Anglia region, demonstrating the impressive agility and obedience skills of her two dogs Balder
and Trym. Balder is pictured on the left. |
Sally Allen
Sally has been working at Castle Vets since January 2002. She graduated from Edinburgh University in June 1998. She has a particular interest in small animal internal medicine and is currently studying for an advanced postgraduate certificate in this subject.
Sally has many pets at her home near Beccles - in fact too many to mention them all here! - including some exotic species such as a water dragon and two curly tail lizards. |
Cristina Diaz-Madronero
Cristina graduated in 2000 from the University of Madrid. In her final year, she
won an ERASMUS scholarship, which enabled her to expand her knowledge and experience by spending time in
both Bristol and Milan. Cristina has a particular interest in internal medicine and, before joining us at
Castle Vets, she worked at a specialist cancer referral centre in Essex. Cristina enjoys horse riding and
swimming. |
Our nurses...
We have a highly experienced veterinary nurse team - Jo Austin, Emma Dorsett, Esther Naylor, Emily Fordham and Laura McClements.
Castle Veterinary Group is officially recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as a Veterinary Nurse training practice, and we are pleased to be able to support our nurses in obtaining this formal qualification, which typically requires 2 to 3 years of combined study and on-the-job work experience. |
Our receptionists...
We also have a strong team of receptionists with many years of experience between them. Jessica Rush and Jill Newstead are mainly based in Framlingham, while Fiona MacGillivray and Nicola Withey take care of things at Debenham.
